A COMMON PROFESSIONAL REFERENCE

Professional competence supported by evidence

Competence validation verifies that the professional commands the tasks, knowledge, and quality criteria relevant to their specialism.

The outcome does not merely confirm that training has been completed: it demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge in representative workshop conditions, with safe practice, method, and verifiable results.

It provides workshops, brands, and professionals with a common technical reference for identifying the validated scope of competence.

VALIDATION SCOPES

Technical specialisms subject to assessment

Each scope defines the systems, procedures, knowledge, and technical decisions that the candidate must demonstrate.

Bicycle Mechanics Level C

Validates work on the principal mechanical systems of a bicycle, fundamental diagnostics, and a professional, verifiable working method.

Bicycle Mechanics Level B

Validates the ability to diagnose and work independently on advanced systems, with sound technical judgement and workshop awareness.

Suspension systems

Validates the diagnosis, servicing, adjustment, and functional verification of forks, rear shocks, and dropper posts.

E-bike drive systems

Validates technical work on electric-assist systems, including diagnosis, maintenance, and safe verification.
